The Pearl

The Pearl

For young and old from 4 years

Duration approx. 50 minutes, without break

While playing, the little beaver finds a shell. He curiously examines it from all sides.

A shell – his heart starts pounding. There is definitely a pearl inside; he has found a treasure. And then he sees

He is overjoyed as he proudly presents himself to his friends with his pearl. But what will the bear, moose, rabbit and pig say?

Biba begins to ponder and his imagination takes him into a story with unexpected twists and turns –
...How lucky that it was only a dream.

A parable about friendship and the naive idea of happiness through wealth and uniqueness, in an adaptation by the mobile theater duo pohyb's and consorts based on the picture book of the same name by Helme Heine.

Playful, dramatic, vivid, poetic and clownish. Pohyb's and his friends use their physical acting to create characters and situations with simple means and without many words, highlighting the special features of the characters with attention to detail and allowing the situations to be experienced in all their complexity.

“Another successful production by the duo pohyb's and consorts: "The Pearl", wonderfully implemented

into a sensitive play of great emotions: dreams, friendship, envy, reconciliation can be experienced directly through the skillful physical acting of Maike Jansen and Stefan Ferencz. Children's theater as it should be."
